Before
- Fasting is usually not required
- Bring any prior thyroid ultrasound images
During
- Minimal or no local anesthesia
- Precise ultrasound guidance
- Very fine needle, 15–20 minutes
After & Recovery
- Return to normal activity the same day
- Cold compress if needed
- Results within a few days
